Stash: There's no such thing as too much yarn...

...Only too small living spaces. I'm running out of room for my yarn stash in my bedroom.

My favourite yarn store is closing, which is very sad, but they're having a huge sale on all their yarn and fabrics, and I can't resist cheap yarn. And I got money to buy myself a Christmas gift for from my grandfather. So yarn it was. And now I have a huge heap. I haven't even got the foggiest idea of what to use most of it for. Socks, probably, and doll clothing.

Pictures to come when my camera stops acting up.

Socks: Progress

Finished first sock today. Will post pictures when properly awake again. Also bought pretty yarn to use for armwarmers, and tapestry needles, which are always useful.

Socks: Attempt One

Have started socks in a sudden fit of insanity. They shall be woollen socks in black and purple, too keep my poor undead feet warm and free of rigor mortis in the cold Norwegian winter.

Provided, of course, I don't just lose my temper and use them as ninja needles to kill someone.

Wool 100%

A Japanese film about two old spinster ladies, a knitting spirit and lots and lots of red yarn. One of the nicest movies I have seen in a long time, and the knitting spirit's distress is one all knitters should be able to recognize.
